1. Can I bring outside food into the park?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted at The Wave Waterpark unless required due to a patron’s special dietary needs. Visit the Wave office before you enter the park for a food waiver request. Sealed bottled water in an open container (no coolers) will be permitted. There is a grass area outside the park if you wish to picnic before your visit. There are also many great restaurants surrounding The Wave Waterpark you can enjoy before your visit also.
2. How much is parking?
Parking is FREE!
3. Can I bring my own lifejacket or floaties (water wings)?
US Coast Guard approved (stamped on the inside of the jacket) personal lifejackets are permitted. Lifejackets are provided inside the park for FREE. Floaties and water wings are not permitted.
4. Do I have to pay to rent a tube?
No, tubes are provided at all the locations and rides where tubes are required to ride. We offer tube rentals for a convenience to guests who wish to have their own tube with them at all times.
5. Can I bring my own chair / umbrella?
Yes! We provide chairs and shade, but they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Cabana rentals are available in advance or on the day of your visit if they are not reserved. Umbrellas should be no larger than 6 feet and shade structures (pop-up tents) are not permitted. The Wave is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
6. Do I still have to purchase a ticket if I don't plan on getting in the water?
All guests must have a valid ticket or season pass to enter the facility. We do offer guests who do not wish to participate in the attractions a Spectator admission. Guests who would like to purchase a Spectator Ticket will pay the full ticket price of $21 and will receive a $4.00 refund upon exit with the return of a dry wristband.
7. I have purchased a ticket online, how do I use it?
You will receive an email confirmation and receipt of your purchase, attached to that email will be the PDF version of your ticket(s), you will need to print the ticket(s) and have them ready for the attendant at the front gate. We are unable to scan your ticket from your phone. Please contact our office at 760-940-WAVE if you need any assistance.
8. How do I use the Season Pass I purchased online?
Once you have purchased your Season Pass, you will receive an email confirmation and receipt. Attached to this email will be a PDF voucher that you will need to present at the Wave Administration Office. Here we will be able to take your picture and print your Season Pass.
9. Are lockers available?
Yes, backpack size lockers are available to rent for $5 per day. You will receive a Wave Splash Buck upon returning your key.
10. How many guests fit inside one cabana?
We have 2 different cabana sizes available for rent. Our small cabanas are 10ft x 10ft and include one picnic table. Small cabanas typically fit approximately 10-15 guests. Our Large cabanas are 20ft x 10ft and include two picnic tables. Large cabanas typically fit approximately 20-30 guests. Please visit our Cabana Rentals page here for more information on cabanas.
11. Can you ride with a stand up board on the Flow Rider?
No, you cannot ride stand up on the Flow Rider. The approved riding position on an approved Bodyboard is having at least one hand and one knee on the board or laying on stomach at all times. The Wave provides a boogie board for your ride down the Flow Rider.
12. Is your water heated?
Our main competition pool is heated between 78 and 80 degrees. All other attractions are usually between 74 and 76 degrees depending on weather conditions.
13. How old to my kids have to be to come to your park alone?
We recommend that all children under 8 be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 16. Parents / Guardians can decide if children are responsible enough to visit alone and follow all park rules. The Wave staff does not stop children from exiting the park unattended and we are unable to page guests, so please plan accordingly.
14. Is your park safe?
Yes, all of our lifeguards are highly trained and certified through Star Guard ELITE. Lifeguards are licensed in water rescues, CPR, first aid, AED use, oxygen use, and spinal management. We staff a first aid station located at our Wave Shack. We take pride in the safety of our park!
