Course Information

Join us for an action packed class filled with a week of fun, water skills and actual lifeguarding opportunities. Participants will be taught and tested on skills from water rescues, CPR, to First Aid and Spinal Management. Jr. Lifeguards will shadow with real lifeguards on the job at The Wave! Jr. Guards will learn whistle signal, hand signals, and how to better handle emergency situations with confidence. Jr. Lifeguard class is structured to be an educational, challenging but super fun and wet experience they won't forget!

Registration

  • Spaces in each camp are limited, so reserve your spot! 
  • Visit The Wave Waterpark. Jr. Lifeguard Camps (parkerticketing.com) to register for available Jr. Lifeguard Camps.
  • Registrations are first come, first serve.
  • Cancellations are subject to a $10 per child/per week cancellation fee. See below for full policy

Camper Requirements

  • 10-15 years old
  • Able to swim 50 yards (two pool lengths)

2024 Jr. Lifeguard Camps - 7:30-1:45pm - $195

  • Session #1: 06/10-06/14
  • Session #2: 06/17-06/21 
  • Session #3: 06/24-06/28
  • Session #4: 07/01-07/05 
  • Session #5: 07/08-07/12 Planned Flow Rider Closure 7/11-7/12
  • Session #6: 07/15-07/19 
  • Session #7: 07/22-07/26 
  • Session #8: 07/29-08/02
  • Session #9: 08/05-08/09

Check in will be from 7:30am to 8:00am at the front gate, and pick up will be from 1:45pm to 2:00pm at the front gate.

What to Bring

Jr. Lifeguards will each be provided with a t-shirt that will be worn each day to camp.

Jr. Lifeguards will need to bring:

  • Swimsuit (females one piece suits)
  • Towel
  • Tennis shoes
  • Sunscreen (labeled with name)
  • Water bottle (labeled with name)
  • Lunch (or $5 for lunch), snacks

Course Maximum

Only 24 Jr. Lifeguards per week will be accepted into the class.

Refund and Transfer Policy

Cancellation by the Wave Waterpark:

  • In case the Wave cancels a program, participants or payees are eligible for a full refund without any processing fee or penalty. Program cancellations may occur due to not meeting minimum participant requirements or unforeseen reasons at the discretion of the Manager on Duty. Classes will proceed in the rain and mild conditions.

Participant Requested Refunds:

  • Refunds can be requested before the second scheduled class, with a deduction for a cancellation processing fee of $10 per child/per week and the prorated fee for the first class (total class fee paid divided by the number of classes). No refunds will be given starting from the second-class date.

Transfers:

  • Registrants may request a transfer before the program starts. If transferred to a class/program with additional fees, payment is due immediately. Transfer requests made before the second scheduled class will receive a transfer credit minus the prorated fee of the attended class, with any fee difference payable immediately. No transfers will be granted starting from the second-class date. Transfer credits must be used within 30 days or will expire. 

Non-Attendance:

  • If registrants fail to attend a program, they are not entitled to a refund or transfer.

Refunds may take up to 2 weeks to process, depending on payment type.
